Chad Palmer Bond Hearing
The man accused of stabbing Wayne County Sheriff Thomas Ballinger was in court yesterday.
Chad Palmer appeared before Wayne County Common Pleas Judge Timothy VanSickle yesterday morning for a bond hearing. After Judge VanSickle confirmed that all parties were prepared to proceed he asked Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Joey Marullo to call the prosecution first witness.
Palmer’s attorney John Lenard also made a statement.
Judge VanSickle asked Palmer if he understood that he had a right to a bond hearing and if he understood that waiving that right would result in him being held without bail until the resolution of the case. Palmer said yes.
Judge VanSickle accepted Palmer’s waiver for the bond hearing and ordered him to be transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to be fingerprinted.
Before the hearing could end, Palmer interrupted with a request.
Palmer is due back in Wayne County Common Pleas Court tomorrow at 1:30 for a Preliminary Hearing.
